RADIANCE BTC / ART MIAMI 2024
Radiance BTC by Jason Myers is a monumental steel sculpture that embodies the power, independence, and innovation of the Bitcoin network.
According to Myers: “At its core, a luminous Bitcoin emblem shines brilliantly, symbolizing the decentralized currency’s role in shaping the future of global financial transactions. The luminous centerpiece serves as a beacon of an ever-changing financial landscape. The use of light plays a pivotal role, casting dynamic shadows and creating an interplay of radiance and structure, much like the transparency and complexity of Bitcoin itself. TRIALS OF GAVIN – LOWLANDS MUSIC FESTIVAL
“Trials of Gavin” was commisioned for Lowlands Festivals in the Netherlands. The sculpture weighs 20 tons and stands 60 ft. Trials of Gavin represents the struggles of our existence and the perseverance we must overcome in our lives.
TRAVELS OF GAVIN – STATION ZWOLLE
“Travels of Gavin” was commissioned for Station Zwolle in the Netherlands. The sculpture weighs 20 tons and stands 60 ft. Travels of Gavin welcomes over 100,000 visitors each day as they pass through the station.
Visible Noise Installation
Visible Noise is an installation combining a large format digital LED panel with freestanding chrome sculpture. This installation speaks about the overwhelming amount of information that we intersect with in our daily lives, and our ability to overcome this struggle. This work has been the featured piece at several International art fairs and several museums across the United States.
Freestanding
The freestanding sculptures are fabricated from a variety of metal materials and recycled parts. The forms are drawn using three dimensional mark-making. The expressionistic approach to sculpture is my attempt to capture the psychology, fluidity, and essence I search for in my paintings paintings.
Installation
The installation format allows the space to become the subject, and I bring elements to an abstract unison with the environment.
